Take a different perspective - A year in photos (week 7)

Last week in the Better Photos Project Annie shared some cheat sheets and links to great blogs that can help you improve your photography but without it being too complex. For the first time I found Emily Beale Photography and what an amazing place to visit. There is so much wisdom on there and Emily shares it all really easily. I particularly like her photographing your family series and this gave me some more insight to changing the ISO, aperture and shutter speed on my camera. Her great advise helped me to achieve some shoots of the moon, which I have never mastered before. I shared a spooky one Thursday and this one today -

I took this with my Lumix G5 on manual and then in Pic Monkey I cropped it and added the Daguerreotype so you could better see the markings on the moon.

I've had lots of fun playing with Pic Monkey and editing this week. I have got to a point where I feel as if I'm taking some good photos but it is then fun to play with them and make them just that bit different!

Lumix G5 on manual and then Lomo effect added in Pic Monkey

I just enjoyed myself playing with this one. It was taken on manual on my Lumix G5 and has 3 or 4 effects on top of each other to give it a new perspective. (It is part of the stone front terrace in case you are wondering.

Can you spot the deer? Lumix G5 on manual and then Yesteryear effect added in Pic Monkey

So what do you think of the Pic Monkey effects do you like them?
