Christmas Gift Guide: 5 Things Every Teen Girl needs for a Break Away

Header for girls christmas gifts to take on holiday

Every young woman loves to go away, whether that's with school, youth club, their family or perhaps a friends family. There is so much excitement in the preparations and getting ready for that special time.

Years back with our eldest we started to give experience gifts rather than money or physical gifts, as we found that the kids had everything they needed and frankly the thing they wanted most was one-on-one time with either my husband or I.

JJ and my husband have had so many great stays up in London, visiting museums, going to the cinema, exploring the Thames and of course eating too much. Once our twin girls Miss M and Miss E were old enough they wanted in on the action too and the first year I took them both away with my Mum for to a holiday park for some girlie fun . Then this year they choose to split up and Miss M went to London with my husband and Miss E and I headed to Surrey for a spa break.

Who knows where next year will take us but the girls have already said they want to go away as their Christmas gifts, so I suppose I ought to start scouring sites like Secret Escapes now to see what luxury hotels I can find for bargain prices.

Miss M, in particular is a very girlie girl and loves the excitement of the holiday preparation and packing as much as she does the time away, so I'm thinking that for Christmas I might ask the family to get her some great gifts to make her time away really special. Here are five tops picks I think every teen (or even tween) girl will love -

1.   Alfa Italia Viaggio TRAVEL styler set
Miss M has just got in to straightening her hair and she religiously washes and blow drys it a few times a week, so this travel style kit from Alfa Italia is just right. It is super stylish in black with gold accents and combines Italian design with premium quality professional hair styling tools. It retails for £39.95 and is exclusively available from the Chill Cabinet.

Don't tell Miss M but I've had a go with it and the hairdryer is so great, just the right size to take away but it still packs away 1200w of power and I like the fact you can flip a switch and it goes from 110 to 240 V to match the country you are in. I used the straighteners to create some cute curls at the front of my hair and the award winning Liscio detangler hairbrush is excellent, and of course Miss M will love the gold colour too.

2.   REVELATION By Antler Echo 4 Wheel Spinner Cabin Case in Pink.
This is an absolute bargain at the moment, selling for just £41.99 on Very.co.uk. It has a 10 year guarantee, is small enough to use as flight luggage and is a great shade of pink, not too girlie and not too in your face!

3.   New Wash Bag
Have a look on somewhere like Etsy or Not on the High Street to see what wash/ make-up/ accessory bags are available. Rose gold seems to be very popular at the moment with teen girls, as well as llamas, pugs and flamingos. This one from Not on the High Street is just £14.99 and can be personalised to a name of your choice.

4.  Ted Baker Mia Fragrance and Mirror Set
With a beautiful wash bag you need something to go in it and this Ted Baker set is just perfect. You get a 30ml Mia perfume and compact mirror that will look the business when you are away.

5.  Fujifilm Instax Mini 8 Camera
An instant picture camera is the perfect way to capture the fun of their break away. This camera is compact, comes in a range or cute colours and is only around £70 so it won't break the bank. Of course the films do cost a bit at about £13 for 20 pictures but they are worth it and the memories will last a lifetime.

I hope you like my Christmas picks for a teen girl. What else would you suggest?

Why not pin this for later?

Disclosure: I was sent the Viaggio travel style set to review. I have not been instructed what to write and I remain honest.
