My 5 Top Recommendations for Family Villas in Phuket

Phuket, it's the island you dreamt of visiting as a little girl. Well it certainly was for me, the name sounds exotic, the beaches are abundant with white sand and crystal clear blue water and have names like Paradise Beach and freedom Beach, and surprisingly the prices are much more affordable than many other luxury islands in Asia.

I've been having a good look through the Villa-Phuket.com site and picking out my favourite Phuket villas for all types of family travellers. Why not have a look and see which one takes your fancy from my selection?

But first let me tell you a little more about Villa-Phuket.com, part of the Villa Finder family.

High Standards
They have 250 selected villas in Phuket, all of these were inspected before being added to their site and they continue to inspect them on a regular basis to ensure that standards are kept. Most of their villas are privately owned and this means you get a variety of styles to suit all tastes. Of course the big bonus of a villa holiday over staying in a hotel is the space, privacy, and peace and quiet of being able to suit yourselves, and not worrying about neighbours in the next room.

Travel Consultants
I was very impressed to see that once I see a villa I like, I can send an online enquiry (or call them if I so wish) and one of their professional travel consultants will call me back to understand my needs fully. Do I need a highchair, pool safety fence, car seats etc? There is nothing like personal service and whilst browsing the Internet can be fun, it can also be exhausting and confusing, so to have a travel professional available to me who knows the island and the area I want to stay in, is invaluable.

Concierge Team
The personal service doesn't stop there though, next, there is a concierge team available to me to ensure this holiday ends up meeting our families needs perfectly. They can book airport transfers, day trips, a chef to come to the villa, a masseuse or even source toys for the pool and wonderfully, you just pay for the service you use and not the cost of organising it.

A Company that Cares
Not only do they provide beautiful, inspected villas that you can trust but for every villa booked they will plant a tree in Sumatra, Indonesia, so by staying with them you contribute to the fight against deforestation. How cool is that?  No extra cost to you but you can enjoy your holiday and feel good that something great is being done.

It sounds all good, doesn't it, so let's take a look at the kind of villas on offer in Phuket -

Best for Families with Older Children/ Thrill Seekers
I love the Villa Chan Grajang located at Surin Beach, it sleeps a family of up to 12 and has 7 staff at your disposal. There are swimming pools, including a 22 metre infinity pool, a snooker room, media room, gym and in house massage, as well as the most amazing views of the ocean. Its located a 10 minute drive from Phuket Fantasea, a family-friendly theme park and 25 minutes from the busy entertainment centre of Patong.

Best for Families who want to Surf and Dive
Villa Baan Bon Khao is a stunning hill-side luxury retreat that overlooks the beautiful bays of Surin and Bang Tao. It is a 4 bed villa that sleeps up to 8 people and is available from £650 per night and as part of your stay you'll have access to a 10 seat mini van and driver for 8 hours a day, so any time you want to go to the beach to surf, dive or just relax, you're covered. Then you can enjoy relaxing after a busy days adventures in the sea-view jacuzzi bathtub.

Natai beach is a quiet and unspoilt part of Phuket, here you'll be able to enjoy the beach without the hum of jet skis and motor boats. You're also easily be able to travel to Wat Tham Ta Pan temple as well as a couple of the countries National Parks to take in some culture. I chose the Villa Aqua Phuket in this area as it has kayaks, paddle boards and bicycles available to its guests. It sleeps 8 in 4 versatile bedrooms and is right on the beach. Prices start from £796 a night.

Best for Families looking for a Bargain
Why not check out the Villa Paloma at Bang Tao Beach? It is a wonderful villa if you are looking for a more affordable option, without losing the luxurious touches. This villa sleeps up to 10, across 5 bedrooms and has a media room, private FIFA approved mini 5-a-side football pitch and swimming pool. Let the fun commence!

Best for a Large Family Get Together
If you are looking for a venue for a wedding or large family celebration then Villa Ani may well suit you. With a staff of 18 and sleeping 20 people across 10 bedrooms you will be well looked after. There is a daily children's activity programme, water sports available, a fitness centre and sprawling gardens at this beach front property. With prices from £5905 per night it isn't cheap but remember you are sleeping twenty people and potentially celebrating one of the mots important times in your life.
