Let's be honest, personalised phone cases are nothing new. They've been around for years now and there are hundreds of suppliers of them. I've never had an interest in them before as the ones I've seen have mostly been low quality hard cases or wallets and that's not what I like. I know what I want and I'm quite a hard woman to please.
Since I got my first iPhone back in 2012 its always been a soft silicon type case I like, usually plain as I like to keep it simple. I choose silicon or rubber as I love the reassurance of the big plastic bumper around my fragile glass screen and in the four iPhones I've had I've not had a broken screen yet! So for me its the right choice.
My New Phone Case
However, now I have a personalised phone case I have to admit that I didn't know what I was missing. I haven't compromised, I still have my flexible silicon cover but I also have the most divine picture of myself, my twin girls and my mum smiling at me each time I grab my phone. It is the best photo and it reminds me of a great day together.
My phone cover came from gocustomized.co.uk and cost £14.99, this seems a very reasonable price to me as the generic ones that I can find in the shops are either that price or more. It's also one of the better silicon covers I've owned as the material is nice and thick and fits my phone very snugly, so it can't escape. The lip (or bumper) over the glass screen is also thick and quite raised to give the best protection.
I could choose from a black, white or transparent base colour (I went for transparent) and then the image I choose is printed across the whole of the back of the cover. I like the fact it is a really clear, matte image and I was surprised at the level of detail that has been captured. You can literally see strands of one of my daughters hair in front of my face.

Choose from a silicon cover like me, or hard covers, wallet covers, full wrap covers, bamboo and wood, flip, leather or a tough cover. The price appears to be the same for whatever size of phone you have, so the £14.99 for my silicon case for a small iPhone SE is the same as a silicon case for a large iPhone 8 Plus or X. There are of course cases for other popular hone manufacturers such as Samsung, Huawei, Vodafone, HTC, LG and Nokia.
Our new iPad Mini Cover
With it only being a matter of weeks away from Fathers Day we also ordered an iPad mini case for my kids to give to my husband for Fathers Day. Whilst we were away at Easter one of our daughters set up a funny image of us all on our phone/ gadgets and I knew my husband liked it a lot as he had used it as his Facebook cover. So this was the image I choose to use for a smart case for his iPad mini.
The cost of the smart cover is £29.99 and I combined it with a hard smart case (£6.99) to give protection to all sides of his iPad mini. The smart case is a great option as it activates the sleep function when closed and thus helps to save battery. The cover can also be folded back to act as a stand for the iPad in two different ways.
Ordering your Phone/ Tablet Case
The ordering process was very simple. I chose the cover I wanted, then which base colour to have and then had to upload my image, either from my PC or one of my social media accounts. Of course it is important to use a high quality image to ensure the best result.
Straight away you can see your image as if it was on the chosen phone or tablet. You can enlarge or shrink the image and move it around to fit perfectly. There are templates to choose from if you want to use multiple photos and then you can add text, stickers and filters. Once you are happy with your design, you press the add to cart button and that is it, job done! It was all very straight forward.
Delivery
I completed my order at 11.30am on Tuesday and by 3pm that same day I had an email to say my package had been shipped and I thought that was awesome service. I was provided with a tracking link for the covers and they arrived with me 10.16am on Thursday, so that is under 48 hours from ordering. I think you can call that superb service.
They state that if you order if received by 4pm it will be shipped the same day and it cost £2.99 for Express GLS, which they say takes 2 - 3 working days but in my experience was quicker. All packages are sent through in letterbox friendly packaging too so you don't have to be in to wait for the delivery.
Other Items Available
As well as personalised phone and tablet cases you can also buy some other personalised gadgets, that make great gifts, such as power banks, speakers, notebooks, credit cad holder and USB card. I particularity like the look of the power banks and they might end up being my next purchase for my twins birthday.
Conclusion
I will definitely buy again from gocustomized.co.uk. Both my girls have iPod touch's and they are busy choosing which images they want to use for their covers. It is certainly cheaper and much more stylish than taking them in to Claire's Accessories.
