My Faith

You might notice from my blog that I’m a Christian and I make no secret of that, nor apologise for it. Living for Christ is at the very heart of who I am and what I’m about.

I won’t pretend I know all the answers or that I have everything figured out. I consider myself to be very much imperfect and an example of how broken we all are. However, this isn’t bad news, it just means that I’m constantly seeking God to live better and to grow as a disciple.

I’m not particularly hung up on labelling myself, so I can’t tell you I’m an Anglican, a Pentecostal or a Methodist. I’m just plain old Mich who is striving hard to be a good Christian. I make mistakes, I say sorry and I get up and try again, knowing that I am truly loved and forgiven.

Prior to 2002 I had very little faith and no relationship with God but all that changed when I made my commitment and became born again in May 2002. This was the best thing that has ever happened to me. Yes better than having my children and better that getting married. Lucky for me my husband also shares my faith and it is the basis of our family life.

Being a Christian impacts my life every day, it is not just about attending church on a Sunday. The Holy Spirit constantly guides me in the decisions I make, the things I choose to do each day, the companies I can work with and the behaviour that I display.

I have changed beyond recognition since becoming a Christian and I know it is for the better. In 2013 our family moved to be part of a Christian community in East Sussex and I literally thank God every day for this blessed place where we now live.

If you have a stereotype of what a Christian is like and figure you won’t like my blog then I challenge you to read a few posts with an open mind and see what you think. You won’t find me that different to any other 49 year old mum of three.

Thanks for reading this and finding out what is really important to me. If you have any prayer requests then I’d love to pray for you, please do email me at michelledpannell22@gmail.com

Be blessed, Mich x
