I don't know about you but as soon as Spring arrives and the sun makes an appearance, I feel like I want to get the house in order and give it a big spring clean. Maybe it is the sunlight highlighting my cobwebs or shining through the windows that now look grubby, I don't know, but I do know that I have an urge to clean it all up and make changes.

Of course, I don't have the money to change every room, every year and realistically it would be wasteful to make too many changes, too often, but it is nice to give a room a fresh look, without spending too much.  I tend to update one room a year, so that the redecoration doesn't all come at once.

This year it is the turn of Miss M, she has a modest sized bedroom and her tastes have very much changed from when it was first decorated five years ago. We bought her some functional furniture at the end of last year but now it is time for those extra accessories, the touches that make a room personal and yours.

Miss M's favourite colourway at the moment is grey and pink, so we have gone for soft grey on the walls and grey bedding to keep the room light and then accents of pink and rose gold to give colour and make the room feel girly, yet grown up, She has been collecting some small items for a while now, ready for her make over - rose gold wire baskets, plants in pretty pots, white twinkle lights and some beautiful stationary to display on her desk.

We sat down the other day together to see what else might work well in her room and came across Lions Home, which is a fab website that acts as a search engine, as it brings together the best home and living products from a variety of companies. This made it super easy for us to sit together and choose some products that will really finish her room off perfectly.

Pink LED Magnetic Memo / Notice Board £14.54
We loved this as it is practical but also stylish. Hopefully she won't ever forget her PE kit again, if she can leave herself a note on this magnetic board.

Reversible Comforter £17.02
I really like comforter as it means you don't have to buy all new bed linen to match the new colour scheme, you can just through the extra large comforter over the top and this is an amazing price.

40cm Pink Fur Rug £49.03
This rug is available in a range of sizes and looks so fabulously soft and tactile. I think the cat will like it too!

Wood and Glass Candle Holder £12.99
Miss M loves smelly candles, so I knew this would be a hit with her.

Rose Gold Wall Clock £29.99
To help ensure she gets up on school morning and turns off her light at a decent time is this big clock. I can hope it may happen!

Hexagon Mirror with Shelf £59.99
This is so beautiful but also really practical, the shelf can be used for Miss M's hairbrush, make-up or earrings, so she always knows where they are.

Nordic style Fabric Lamp £59.99
I love the simplicity of this light and the pale pink that it casts off, super pretty.

Grey Velour Chair £86.99
Miss M needs a chair that isn't too big, will be comfortable for use with her desk but also feel grown-up and a bit luxurious too. I think this will last her into adulthood.

Pink Cushions, from £19.99
No girl can have too many cushions. It is a great to get a variety of sizes, patterns and textures to add some interest to the bed.

What do you think, did we make some good picks?  I think her room will look fabulous and perfect for a 12 year-old-girl. Now all I have to hope, is that she will keep it tidy and clean!
