Reasons to be Cheerful - Italian, Community Day and Bathtime Bliss

I've loved it being half-term this week but I can't believe how quick it came about, and how quick it is whizzing by!

It's been a fab week, we took it pretty easy over the weekend as my husband was with his cub pack at camp but the girls and I enjoyed lunch at Prezzo.

Monday was community day here where we live, so everyone joined in with fun and games together. Loads of laughs were had and Miss E enjoyed making loads of cakes with my husband ready for the Autumn feast, we enjoyed in the evening.

Tuesday I went to see Dirty Dancing at our local theatre, which was my Christmas present from last year, so I've been looking forward to it for ages and it was a fab show, but I think my husband and I have come to the conclusion that you shouldn't see your favourite movie on stage as it never quite lives up to it. We did have a super yummy grilled chicken kebab after, that finished the night off well.

We got the OK that we can keep Pusspuss at our house, as he has chosen it to be his home and you can't really rationalise with a cat!

I made sure I got some time to myself and had a lovely bath on Wednesday. It's so important for us Mums to carve out some me-time, especially during the school holidays when we have the kids more than normal and if yours are anything like mine, they want me constantly!  Well, not the teen so much, he is quite self-sufficient now.

I'll admit that I forgot how nice it is to take a long hot bath and I got to read my Kobo, enjoy a can of vodka and cranberry and I had a good pamper, exfoliating my feet and using the Gillette Venus with Olay comfortglide razor, which exfoliates the skin and locks in the moisture. Who knew? Razors have come a long way since I was a teen.

I'm linking this post up with Becky over at Lakes Single Mum for Reasons to be Cheerful and next week the linky will be back with me for the month of November. Come and join in!

Have a great week ahead, Mich x

Disclosure: I received 2 Venus razors free of charge for my family to use. I have not been instructed what to write and I remain honest.
