Reasons to be Cheerful - Snow, Rock Hunting and Community Day

Happy Thursday #R2BC friends, sorry I haven't been around for a couple of weeks. I really need to get myself a bit more organised when it isn't my turn to host as I find that I forget to schedule in the time for my Reasons to be Cheerful post and then get lost in paid work and other commitments. I really am trying not to spend too much time blogging but still make enough money to cover some niceties like weekends away and days out.

It's been a good week for me generally. I wouldn't say I've been the most productive work wise but so what, that's not everything, right?

A New Gym
I've joined a new gym and had my induction. It's a great little place and I'm going there twice a week whilst the girls are at trampolining club and Guides. I love the idea that it fits in with lifts I need to do anyway, it feeds into my need for efficiency! lol

Our first batch of rocks that we made and hid out in our local town at the weekend.

Chilled Weekend
We didn't get up to too much at the weekend, which was welcome. Saturday we just had a trip into our local town and did a spot of rock hunting which has become a regular habit for Miss E. If you're not sure what rock hunting is, check out my recent post and below are some of the ones we found on Saturday. Sunday was just serving on kids group at church and then relaxing at home as a family.

Community Day
Around six times a year the conference centre where I live closes and we spend the day as a community. Monday was one of those days and was great to worship together, eat far too much good food, create a choir and generally spend time in a different way with those I see most every day when they are at work and serving.

Snow Day
Tuesday turned out to be the first snow day my girls have had since we moved here five years ago, so they were over the moon. I had to wait in for my shopping in the morning but they played out with friends and built a snowman. Then after lunch we headed over to a big hill for a spot of sledging. In truth we were a bit late as the snow was melting in places but they still had lots of fun. I haven't got any pictures of them coming down the hill but I have some video clips and they are fabulous, especially the one of my husband having a go!

Come and Join In!

I'd love to read your Reasons to be Cheerful and it is as easy as 1, 2, 3 to join in -

1. Link up a post about something that is making you super happy/ grateful. It can be in this style or it can be anything you like - a recipe, a tutorial, a from the heart, a list - it's your blog, you choose

2. Add the #R2BC badge onto your post or blog so that people can easily find the linky and join in too if they fancy

3.  Share the love. This is the really important bit. Please don't just link and run, comment on at least a couple of posts and why not share with #R2BC too?

I'll stop by all linked up posts to comment and I'll share on twitter too
