We Love Telford Town Park #CountryKids

If you are ever in the Telford area with your kids and need something cheap to do I can't recommend the town park highly enough. A couple of weeks ago we spent a week in Telford staying at a friends house and exploring a little of Shropshire. It is a beautiful area and so accessible, we could not believe the amount of motorways and A roads within easy access.

The town is also well stocked with a massive array of shops, restaurants, cinemas, bowling, ice rink, soft play and town park and everything is within walking distance of the easy and affordable parking too. This town gets a massive thumbs up from me.

I'll share with you some pictures from the Telford town park. There is something there for all ages, it is massive and this was fine for us as we can let our older kids go out of our sight and know they are sensible to stay together. I suppose if you have mixed age children then it might be harder to police as the play areas for younger kids are separate to those for the older kids.

Everything is really clean and well presented, free from litter and well signed. There was a visitor centre with loads of toilets, baby change, a cafe kiosk and vending machines and also an ice cream van on site during the summer holidays when we were there.

There is loads of green grassy space so the kids can run free, a small splash lands area, a model boating lake with ducks, hard standing tennis courts, a land train, climbing wall and high ropes course, cycles to hire and a fabulous crazy golf.

We had a great time playing crazy golf, it is a very new course and in lovely condition, it is in a gated area so only those who have paid can access the 12 hole course. The cost is £5 per adult and £3.50 per child and you can take your time. It took us about an hour for 4 of us to play together.

As we left the park I saw that there was acres we had not explored, a massive lake, wildlife park and gardens. If we go back, I know we will explore further. On a nice day it is a great place to brig a picnic and spend the day there with friends.

I'm linking this post up with Fiona at Coombe Mill for #CountryKids.
