Not so #SilentSunday

Yes it started out as a Silent Sunday post but then changed, just a little!  Let's be honest, if you don't like the words, you can always ignore them! lol

Yes, it is that time of year when our family enter a tree into the local Church Christmas Tree Festival. Every first weekend in December since 2003 we have put together a themed tree and displayed it at the Church for the weekend festival and then for school children to visit during that week.  For our family, this marks the start of advent and the festive season.

This year the children totally did the tree themselves.  Every decoration on the tree is handmade by them, hence the trees name 'Crafted with Love'.  It is nothing fancy but it is full of fun and family enjoyment.  I even took the girls Thursday night to decorate the tree themselves, at age 4 now they are big enough to do that and boy did they have fun! Then today as they stood in Church they chatted to the people passing by and told them about their tree and how they had done it all on their own. Proud as Punch!  Both them of their creation and me of these confident little chatty girls I have bred.

If you fancy checking out some of our previous trees, take a look at this family Christmas traditions post or this one on celebrating advent.

I'm going to link this post up to Thinly Spread's Festive Friday.
