Morning friends, I hope the week is going well for you. I certainly can't wait for tomorrow when I'm off to visit my parents for the weekend. Friday will be lunch and the cinema (Me Before You in case you are wondering) with Mum before a nice belated Father's Day meal for Dad and then Saturday Mum and I are off to a conference at a local church for the day and Sunday all my rabble will come down to visit and pick me up. Its going to be fun...
For Reasons to be Cheerful this week, I thought I'd share with you some new blogs that I've found recently and really been enjoying and I hope you might enjoy them too -
I met Faye from Tales and Tea at an event a couple of months ago for HP. She has a really beautiful writing style, very raw and honest and I could relate to many of her posts.
Keep up with the Jones Family is a blog written by Sara-Jayne and it is stunning. It is one of those places that I have no idea how people curate. How do things look so fabulous in your life when you have three small kids? But I don't for one moment think it is all staged and a front. She describes her passions as motherhood, photography and storytelling through her writing, so that probably explain it!
Amy has been blogging as long as I have; she is one of the old timers but it is only very recently I've discovered her faith blog Sitting at the Well and I'm really enjoying it. It is a place of exploration, discipleship and encouragement.
Many posts have spoken to me on the You've got your hands full blog but I think the one that has really stood out is one simply titled 'Marriage Appreciation' where Esther talks about how we must remember how blessed we are in our marriage even when we have young children and things don't seem to be going our way. Coming from a recently widowed mother of five children it is a very powerful read.
I really love the ethos of the next blog. I'm Every Mum is written by Alexandra and she created it to be a place where all mothers are celebrated. It doesn't matter what side of the breastfeeding fence you are on, you are welcome there.
I don't know the name of this blogger, her screen name is Slave2boys and this always makes me chuckle. She writes the blog Let Boys be Boys and I enjoy reading her random musings, always with a strong flavour of her faith running through.
So there we have it, six great recommendations, go check them out.
Why don't you join in with #R2BC and link up with Becky at Lakes Single Mum who is hosting during June and I'll be back hosting here from 7th July.
Catch you soon. Mich x
